Color Challenge 2009
This year's and last year's color challenge was a great success and we had numerous requests to do it again. So, of course, we will.
We will start drawing cards November 1st, with a deadline to turn in your quilt by August 6th.
We will be running it in two ways this time.
- You will have a choice when you draw your card to decide if you want to do a monochromatic quilt or a triadic quilt.
- You are not limited in size or technique, but your finished entry must be quilted.
- The show will not be judged. All entries meeting the stated requirements will be displayed.
- We will again be giving a yard of fabric to each participant who turns in their quilt and will do a drawing for a $25, $20 and $15 gift certificates.
If you drew a card last year and did not complete your project, you may finish the item using the same card as last year, however, you will only be eligible for a single drawing for a $10 gift certificate. We want to be fair to those who had less time to work on their projects.
We encourage you to participate since it turned out to be a very valuable experience in color exploration and really wasn’t as daunting as it first appeared to be.

Come and join us for a weekend of quilting, friendship, eating and fun. Finish those UFO’s that have been sitting in your sewing room during this uninterrupted weekend of sewing. No phones, TVs or family, just fellow quilting enthusiasts in a quiet wooded setting and indulge on the fantastic food. We have added a second session due to the popularity of the retreat, but make sure you reserve your space early.
