Another year has flown by and it’s hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. I’m going to miss spending time outdoors but I am excited to get to spend some time with my sewing machine. So many projects to finish....
Events Happy 35th Anniversary to us! Don’t forget to register your unfinished projects for our UFO Challenge. You have until September 30th to do so. The way the challenge works is for you to bring in your unfinished projects (or at least parts of them) and register them with us. For a project to be considered unfinished, it must be at least partly cut out, to the binding isn’t completely finished or anywhere in between. You will have until January 15th to get them finished and turned it to us. We will then host a 1 day quilt show displaying all of the finished projects. From all of the entries turned in, we will randomly draw 3 winners who will receive a $35 store gift certificate. Deadlines are a great way to finish things that are easy to procrastinate. From prior years when we have done this challenge, we have also heard how finishing even one project feels so nice.
Another way in which we are going to celebrate our 35th Anniversary is with a celebration on September 22nd and 23rd. Join us for some birthday cake, punch and a sale! Take 35% off an item of your choice (multiple yards off the same bolt counts as one item) and choose a free fat quarter with a purchase of any size.
The month of October is when the coastal quilt shops have our annual Oktoberfest shop hop. Each shop will have an individual store drawing for a $50 gift certificate and a free pattern. If you plan on doing all 11 shops, then pick up a passport at your first shop to be eligible for a grand prize of a $50 gift certificate from all 11 shops. You have the possibility of winning the grand prize and at each participating shop. Our grand prize last year did also win at one of the store level drawings. See www.quiltrun101.com/about-us for individual store hours to plan your trip. Each shop will have their own hours during the month long run, so carefully check before planning your trip.
Our annual Merchandise Basket Giveaway will begin November 1st. Each year we prepare 3 merchandise baskets that we give one entry for every $25 spent on merchandise (excludes pre-made items like purses but includes discounted items). We have 3 drawing periods where we select the winning entry from all the entries during that time period. We start fresh with each basket. The drawing periods will be November 1st through 18th (Basket #1), November 21st through December 9th (Basket #2) and Deember 12th though December 30th (Basket #3). It’s always lots of fun filling these baskets (usually tote bags) with goodies.
